I have been an intermediate student for two and a half years and have greatly improved my formal/adult level conversation and reading skills. The small class sizes are perfect for students studying Japanese where detailed grammar explanations are essential. Sensei has a tremendous understanding of Japanese grammar and teaching skills necessary to explain complicated issues in a way that makes sense to American students.
